TaDRI ideal and TaDRI group (TADRIG) has been created since 2004 by young researchers who come from different studied fields in Vietnam.
Mainly, our working vision is to assist, improve capacity for people and counterparts, tending to sustainable development of communities and nation. Together with domestic and international co-operation, draw human and financial resources from government organizations, non-government organizations, and individuals from internal and external countries, TaDRI carry out academic and empirical researches as well as training activities, technical and communicative conversion to serve activities related to cultural, social and environmental development in areas. Main working fields, which are:

1. Research, implement and apply scientific and technical produces into cultural, social and environmental development, tending to communities located in ecological regions of Vietnam, especial in mountainous, solitary areas.
2. Inform, consult, train and improve scientific and technical profession, organization and management in cultural, social development and environmental protection.
3. Build and implement projects related to cultural, social and regional development.
TaDRI has 24 officers including 1 Professor, 3 Assocciate Professors, 2 Philosophy of Doctors, 6 Masters and 12 Bachelors. In addition, TaDRI has more 2 Associate Professors, 2 Philosophy of Doctors, 4 Masters and 4 Bachelors as the partners and collaborators.
In terms of organization, TaDRI is divided into 4 groups with their own functions, combining together in order to get common purposes. Researchers of TaDRIG had many experiences in carrying out activities in fields:
1. Cultural and social fields
- Cultural field: Participate in projects and programme studying on issues: evaluate the situation of cultural life in urban and industrial areas; research on family roles in educating cultural and traditional values for children.
- Social field: Participate in many studies: Sustainable livelihood; Study on social and humanities matters in the process of industrialization and modernization for reasonable natural resources using and environmental protection in Vietnam; Study of some social and humanities matters in the process of industrialization and modernization for reasonable natural resources using and environmental protection in Vietnam; poor women in rural areas; study of solutions for strengthening family roles in transition toward socialist oriented market economy .
Especially, researchers of the center take a lot of interest in and have many experiences in issues related to the youth: adolescents and adolescent policies; street working children; Research on current situation of the youth; research on young human resource.
2.Environmental field
Conduct researches related to planning process in the Red delta river Environmental conflict and its relation to community spirit in some industry and craft villages; research on method to push environmental education; evaluate knowledge of the youth of environmental issues.
